Located in Perth is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Channel Account Manager with exposure to distribution channels within the construction industry.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Overall responsibility for the management & development of the products distributor network and commercial segment.
- Maintaining strong relationships with builders & contractors.
- Working closely with internal teams to drive brand awareness & promotion.
- Developing & implementing strategic sales plans.
- Working closely with the Field Service Engineer to action and resolve any product rectification requirements.
- Ensuring all paperwork and administration compliance is successfully entered in Salesforce.
- Providing accurate and timely reporting as required.
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a similar sales/account management role working with construction products – ideally within distribution channels and/or the commercial construction market. You’re results driven and solution focused.
- The kind of personality that loves sales and relationship development. You have that great mix of sales & likeability and genuinely enjoy developing lasting relationships with your distribution network.
- Strong computer & admin skills – you will work with Salesforce for anything admin/reporting related so it’s essential you have solid admin skills to ensure these tasks are completed on time.
- The ability to self-motivate yet also work as a team. This role doesn’t have any direct reports but has constant interaction with internal stakeholders.
This is a great role and is perfectly suited to candidates with a strong sales background. It could also be great for candidates who have worked within construction as maybe a site foreman, contracts administrator, or construction project manager who is feeling burnt out or tired of working wherever the project requires. The role is responsible for W.A however travel is minimal due to working with the distribution channel.
Monday morning meetings in the office are a must but other than that, the role is predominantly out on the road visiting your distributors.
