Excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician with industrial experience or the desire to be trained. Rotating 12hr shifts. Plenty of overtime on offer.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager some of your key duties will include:

  • Undertaking general repairs, electrical maintenance and routine inspections
  • Completing a range of routine inspection tasks
  • Reading and interpreting electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications
  • Conducting fault finding, testing and repair work on plant equipment
  • Ensuring the maintenance plan is executed according to schedule and adjusting when required

THE CANDIDATE:

To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years electrical experience – You will be working in a fast-paced industrial site. Exposure to industrial electrical work would be great but not essential. Our client is happy to train candidates who have a great work ethic and ability to learn
  • Trade Electrical qualification/s – QLD Electrical Licence
  • Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) would also be ideal but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work at a quick pace during busy periods.
  • A current forklift licence (not essential)

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have either just completed their apprenticeship or perhaps you’re a qualified Electrician looking for an opportunity in an industrial environment. The team are happy to train or take on someone with solid experience. It’s all about having the right attitude and desire to work as part of a maintenance team. The shift rosters allow for longer hours and less days which could be ideal for those looking for extra time off during the week.

The shifts are split into 3-week rotating rosters:

Week 1:

Mon: 6pm – 6am

Tuesday: 6pm – 6am

Wed: 6pm – 6am

Week 2:

Mon: 10am-6pm

Tuesday: 6am – 6pm

Thursday: 6pm – 6am

Fri: 6pm – 6am

Week 3:

Wed: 6am – 6pm

Thursday: 6am – 6pm

Fri: 6am – 6pm

Sat: 6am – 4pm (compulsory overtime shift 2 out of every 6 weeks)

Plenty of overtime is on offer for those who are keen to earn some extra cash. A great team who all enjoy working together in a state of the art facility.
