THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager and supporting the People Services team with various payroll transformation projects, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Writing effective Payroll/Award & EA test scripts
- Performing scenario & UAT testing on end-to-end process and Award/EBA, leave policy rules etc
- Leave reconciliations from legacy systems (ADP & PayGlobal)
- Testing and investigating new systems changes – Dayforce
- Monitoring of legislation changes, updating system processes and policies when required
- Understanding payroll compliance, ensuring all legislative requirements are met
- Stakeholder management & communication to ensure strong internal business relationships
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a similar payroll specialist or project role – you have a thorough understanding of the payroll process and ideally have experience with new system implementations and what that involves.
- The kind of personality that enjoys working in a constantly changing environment – you easily handle competing priorities and deadlines and find it easy to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, numerical and analytical skills
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance (would be great but not essential)
- Exposure to large ERP payroll & time and attendance systems (Dayforce, Deputy, Kronos, ADP, PayGlobal etc)

The ideal candidate is someone who isn’t a hardcore project specialist rather they have thorough payroll experience and some project or automation experience. You understand things like how to approach LSL reconciliations and the mindset around award testing for timesheets. It could be great for someone who does this all the time, or someone eager to learn and gain experience on Dayforce. In any case we’d love to hear from you.
